Euro 2020 to be held in England

Wembley will host seven games at Euro 2020 after Brussels lost the right to host matches for the tournament.
Belgium's capital city has been ruled out as a planned new stadium is still to be built and Uefa have not received the necessary guarantees.
Wembley was already scheduled to hold the semi-finals and final but will now also host three group games and a last 16 tie.
Cardiff and Stockholm had also been in contention to host the extra games.
England's national stadium is one of 12 venues across Europe hosting Euro 2020 games.

The thing that concerns me is it's likely to create another new breed of fan! If Euro 2020ers are anything like Euro 96ers we've really got something to look forward to on here!

There is just something very shit about these tournaments being held in England. You have them in Europe and everyone congregates in the squares, you have the outdoor bars and cafes, it's sunny, everyone is happy and you have a some white plastic chairs being lobbed around to give the whole thing a bit of an edge. In England it will most likely be cold, everyone will go to the globe or a wethespoons and then the miserable tube journey up to Wembley. It's shit.

I would imagine UEFA's high brass realised that by inviting multiple cities to bid against each other for the rights to host games they simply increase the number and amount of bribes that will come their way.

Think they said on the radio that 13 different cities across Europe will host games during the final tournament, would imagine no country gets automatic qualification.
First game of finals to be in Rome.
